EDUCATION IS EMPOWERMENT

EDUCATION IS EMPOWERMENT

At Janamangalaparishad, we believe that true progress begins with empowering women. As an NGO dedicated to social upliftment, we recognize that women are the backbone of our families, our communities, and our nation. When women rise, entire communities flourish.

Why Women Empowerment Matters

Across India, millions of women still face challenges such as lack of education, financial dependence, limited access to healthcare, and social inequality. Empowering women is not just a matter of fairness; it's essential for sustainable development.

Empowered women:

  1. Make informed choices for themselves and their families
  2. Contribute to the economy through employment or entrepreneurship
  3. Educate and uplift the next generation
  4. Break cycles of poverty and injustice
  5. Janamangalaparishad works tirelessly to make this a reality.

Our Initiatives for Women Empowerment

  1. Skill Development Programs
We organize training sessions in tailoring, handicrafts, digital literacy, and other marketable skills that help women become self-reliant and financially independent.
  2. Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
By forming SHGs, we encourage women to support each other, save money collectively, and access micro-loans to start small businesses.
  3. Health and Hygiene Awareness
We conduct workshops on menstrual health, maternal care, nutrition, and hygiene to ensure women’s well-being is prioritized and protected.
  4. Legal Awareness Camps
Many women are unaware of their rights. Our legal awareness programs educate women about domestic violence laws, property rights, and avenues for legal support.
  5. Education and Literacy
We support the education of girls and offer adult literacy programs for women who missed out on formal education, giving them a second chance at learning.

Voices of Change

One of our proudest success stories is Rekha, a young woman from a small village who joined our tailoring training center. With guidance and a small seed loan from Janamangalaparishad, she now runs her own boutique and employs three other women from her community. Rekha is not just earning—she's inspiring.
